Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Zwin

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can go straight there from the baggage hall.

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Zwin

The journey covers 136 km (85 miles) and typically takes 1 h 44 m. From Zaventem you head west across Flanders towards the North Sea coast, and the final stretch leads into the Knokke-Heist area right at the Dutch border. This is a long transfer, so it helps to know what can slow it down. Sunny weekends, school holidays and public holidays bring heavy coastal traffic, and the Brussels ring road is busy at rush hour. On those days, allow some extra time, especially if you have a fixed check-in or a booked visit at the other end.

The route is booked less often than the main city transfers, but it is available on request like any other, and the driver is assigned for your trip alone.

Which Vehicle Fits Your Group

For a trip of almost two hours, comfort and luggage space matter. These options are available:

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers): suits solo travellers, couples, and small families. Choose the four-seat option if you travel with several suitcases.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats (1-8 passengers): a good fit for larger families or friends travelling together with plenty of luggage.
• Private Minibus 16 and 24 Seats: for school trips, clubs, and wedding or event parties heading to the coast.
• Private Minibus 32, 40 and 48 Seats: for large groups, tours, and company outings that want to travel together in one vehicle.

About Zwin

Zwin is best known as a protected nature area on the Belgian coast, next to the Dutch border and close to Knokke-Heist. It is a tidal inlet of salt marshes, dunes and mudflats that attracts many bird species, and it is a popular place for walks in the fresh sea air. Most visitors combine it with a stay in the nearby seaside resort.

A practical tip for the drop-off: let us know the exact address or the entrance you need, as the nature area and the surrounding resort streets are separate places. That way the driver can take you straight to the right spot.
