Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Zemst

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can go straight there and meet your driver without searching the terminal.

The Drive from BRU to Zemst

Zemst lies 16 km (10 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the trip usually takes about 15 minutes by car. Because the route is short, it is one of the quicker transfers out of the airport. It is booked less often than the big city routes, but it is available on request like any other. Morning and late-afternoon rush hours around the Brussels ring and the roads north of the airport can slow traffic, so allow a little extra time if you have a tight appointment or a connection to make at the other end.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

The vehicle depends on your group and luggage:

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers): suits solo travellers, couples, families and small business groups.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: a good fit for larger families or colleagues travelling with extra bags.
• Private Minibus 16 to 24 Seats: works for team trips, wedding parties and organised groups.
• Private Minibus 32, 40 or 48 Seats: for conferences, school groups and large events, up to 48 passengers.

If you carry bulky luggage or sports equipment, choose the next size up for comfort.

About Zemst

Zemst is a municipality in Flemish Brabant, between Brussels and Mechelen. It is made up of several villages, including Eppegem, Elewijt, Hofstade and Weerde. The area is mostly residential and green, with a quieter pace than the capital. It is a practical base for visiting local businesses or family, and the road links to Brussels, Mechelen and the airport are good. Give your driver the exact street address when you book, since the villages within the municipality are spread out.
