Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Zelem

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Zelem

Zelem lies about 60 km (37 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the journey usually takes around 40 minutes by road. Most of the route is on motorway, so the trip is straightforward outside busy periods. Traffic on the Brussels ring and the main roads towards Limburg can slow things down on weekday mornings and late afternoons. If you have a fixed appointment or a connection to catch, allow some extra time during those hours.

This route is booked less often than the big city transfers, but it is available on request like any other. A private transfer means one vehicle for your group, with no stops to pick up other passengers.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

The vehicle depends on how many people are travelling and how much luggage you have.

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers): suits solo travellers, couples, small families and business travellers.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: a good choice for larger families or groups of friends with extra bags.
• Private Minibus 16, 24, 32, 40 and 48 Seats: intended for wedding parties, company groups, sports teams and other larger parties arriving together.

If your group is close to the upper limit of a vehicle, choose the next size up so everyone has room for their luggage.

Meeting Point at Brussels Airport

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can go straight there without searching the terminal.
