The transfer covers 66 km (41 miles) and normally takes around 47 minutes. The route leads north from Zaventem towards the Antwerp area and on to the port district near the Dutch border. Zandvliet is not one of our most frequently booked destinations, but the transfer is available on request like any other. Morning and late-afternoon rush hours around Brussels and Antwerp can slow the journey, so add a buffer if you have a tight onward appointment or a ship or shift to reach.

For solo travellers, couples and small families, a private taxi is the simple choice, with options for up to 3 or up to 4 passengers. Larger parties can book a private minibus with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. This suits work crews, port-related business groups, wedding parties and tour groups who want to arrive together. Zandvliet lies in the northern part of the province of Antwerp, close to the Dutch border and within the Antwerp port area. It is a quiet, largely residential and industrial district rather than a classic tourist spot. Most visitors come for work in the port, to see family, or to explore the flat landscape of the Scheldt polders nearby.

Zandvliet itself offers little in the way of established hotels. Travellers usually stay in Antwerp, the nearest major city, which has a much wider choice. Well-known options there include:
