Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Woensdrecht

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Woensdrecht

The route covers 79 km (49 miles) and typically takes around 53 minutes. It leads north from Zaventem towards the Antwerp area and then across the Belgian-Dutch border into North Brabant. Woensdrecht is not one of our most frequently booked destinations, but the transfer is available on request just like any other. Traffic around the Brussels ring and Antwerp can build up during weekday rush hours, so it is sensible to allow a little extra time if you have a fixed appointment or a connecting departure.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

For solo travellers, couples and small families, a private taxi is the simplest choice: one option seats up to 3 passengers, another up to 4. Larger parties travel together in a private minibus with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats, which suits business groups, sports teams, military visitors travelling in a party, or families with plenty of luggage. Pick the size that leaves room for suitcases as well as people.

Woensdrecht as a Destination

Woensdrecht is a municipality in the province of North Brabant, close to Bergen op Zoom and not far from the Belgian border. It is best known for the Woensdrecht Air Base, and the surroundings are a mix of villages, woodland and flat farmland. It is a quiet, residential area rather than a big tourist centre, so many visitors come for work, for family or to explore the wider region.

Where to Stay Near Woensdrecht

Woensdrecht itself has limited accommodation, so many travellers stay in nearby Bergen op Zoom, a few minutes away by car. Well-known options there include:

• Grand Hotel De Draak, a historic hotel on the Grote Markt in the old town centre
• Van der Valk Hotel Bergen op Zoom, a large hotel popular with business and leisure guests
