Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Winksele

The Drive from Zaventem to Winksele

Winksele lies 26 km (16 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the typical driving time is about 22 minutes. It is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request like any other transfer. Because the trip runs through the busy area between Brussels and Leuven, it is sensible to allow extra time during weekday rush hours. The same goes for heavy rain or if you have a tight appointment on arrival.

Which Vehicle Suits Your Group

For solo travellers, couples and small families, a private taxi is the natural choice. It is available for 1-3 passengers or 1-4 passengers, so check the second option if you travel with a fourth person and bags. Larger parties can book a private minibus:

• 8 seats for groups of up to 8
• 16 seats for groups of up to 16
• 24 seats for groups of up to 24
• 32, 40 or 48 seats for coach-sized groups, such as company events or wedding parties

If you carry a lot of luggage, choose the next size up so everyone travels comfortably.

Winksele and Where to Stay Nearby

Winksele is a quiet village in the municipality of Herent, in Flemish Brabant, just outside Leuven. It is mostly residential and green, which suits visitors who prefer calm surroundings to city bustle. I cannot name hotels in Winksele itself with confidence, so for accommodation it is best to look at Leuven, the nearest larger town. Well-known options there include:

• Martin's Klooster Hotel, set in a converted historic building
• Leuven Marriott Hotel, close to the city centre
• Hotel Silken Berlaymont Leuven, a central city hotel

Tell us your exact address when booking, whether it is a private home, a hotel in Leuven or a business in Winksele, so the driver can take you to the right door.
