Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Wijer

The drive from Brussels Airport to Wijer

The route covers 71 km (44 miles) and usually takes around 51 minutes by road. That figure assumes normal traffic. Weekday mornings and late afternoons around Brussels and on the main motorways are the busiest times, so it is sensible to allow extra time if you have a fixed appointment or a connection to make. Wijer is a less frequently booked route, so it is arranged on request, and your driver will plan the journey for your arrival time.

Which vehicle suits your group

For solo travellers, couples and small families, a Private Taxi is the simplest choice. It is available for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers, so check the passenger count against your luggage before booking. Larger parties can choose a Private Minibus:

• 8 seats for a bigger family or a small group with extra suitcases
• 16 and 24 seats for wedding parties, club trips and business groups
• 32, 40 and 48 seats for large delegations or events where everyone should arrive together

Travelling together in one vehicle means a single arrival time and no need to coordinate several cars.

Wijer as a destination

Wijer is a small place rather than a busy urban centre, so expect a quiet setting and a calmer pace than in Brussels. Because smaller villages can have narrow or less obvious streets, give the exact address of your accommodation or meeting place when you book. That helps the driver take you directly to the right door at the end of the journey.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits for you at Java Coffee House in Brussels Zaventem Airport, holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage. You can relax from there, knowing the ride to Wijer starts right away.
