Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Wichelen

The drive from Brussels Airport to Wichelen

The transfer covers 48 km (30 miles) and typically takes around 40 minutes. The route leads west from Zaventem into East Flanders, mostly on motorway. Wichelen is not one of the most frequently requested destinations, but the transfer is available on request, just like any other route.

Allow extra time if you travel during the weekday morning or late afternoon rush, when traffic around the Brussels ring road slows down. Bad weather can also add minutes, so keep some margin if you have a tight appointment or a connection to make after arrival.

Choosing the right vehicle

The vehicle you need depends on how many people are travelling and how much luggage you carry:

• Private Taxi (1-3 passengers) or Private Taxi (1-4 passengers): suitable for solo travellers, couples, small families and business trips.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: a good choice for a larger family or a group with extra suitcases.
• Private Minibus 16 Seats and 24 Seats: for wedding parties, sports teams or company groups.
• Private Minibus 32, 40 and 48 Seats: for large delegations, tour groups and events that need everyone to arrive together.

If you are close to the upper limit of a vehicle, choose the next size up so everyone has room for their luggage.
