Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Wevelgem

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you have collected your luggage, so you can meet without any searching around the terminal.

The Drive to Wevelgem

The journey covers 109 km (68 miles) and usually takes about 1 h 11 m. Wevelgem lies in West Flanders next to Kortrijk, so the ride crosses a large part of Belgium from Zaventem. Allow some extra time if you travel during the weekday morning or evening rush around Brussels, or on Friday afternoons when traffic heading west is often heavier. This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request like any other, so it is best to arrange it ahead of your arrival.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

For solo travellers, couples and small families, a Private Taxi for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers is the practical choice. Groups with more luggage or up to eight people fit into the Private Minibus with 8 seats. Larger parties such as business teams, school groups or wedding guests can book a minibus with 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats, so everyone travels together in one vehicle.

About Wevelgem and Where to Stay

Wevelgem is a municipality in West Flanders, right beside Kortrijk and close to the French border. It is best known among cycling fans as the finish town of the Gent-Wevelgem race, and it also has a small regional airfield. I could not name long-established hotels in Wevelgem itself with confidence, so here are two well-known options in neighbouring Kortrijk:

• Hotel Damier, located on the Grote Markt in Kortrijk
• Hotel Messeyne, a long-standing hotel in Kortrijk city centre

Tell us the exact address when booking, whether it is a hotel in Kortrijk or a private address in Wevelgem, and the driver will take you straight to the door.
