Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Westrem

The drive from Brussels Zaventem to Westrem

Westrem lies 55 km (34 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive normally takes around 39 minutes. The route leaves the airport area, joins the motorway network around Brussels and continues west into East Flanders. This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request just like any other, so your driver will be arranged specifically for your trip.

Allow some extra time if you travel during the weekday morning or late afternoon rush, when the Brussels ring and its approach roads are busiest. Bad weather can also slow things down, so build in a small buffer if you have a fixed appointment on arrival.

Which vehicle fits your group

The vehicle choice depends mainly on how many people and how much luggage you have:

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers): suits solo travellers, couples, small families and business travellers with standard luggage.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: a comfortable option for larger families or friends travelling together with several suitcases.
• Private Minibus 16 and 24 Seats: practical for wedding parties, sports teams and small company groups.
• Private Minibus 32, 40 and 48 Seats: intended for large delegations, school groups and event guests who want to arrive together.

If you are close to the upper limit of a vehicle, choose the next size up so that luggage fits without a squeeze.

About Westrem

Westrem is a small village that forms part of the municipality of Wetteren in East Flanders. It is a quiet, mostly residential place, so visitors usually come to see family, attend a local event or reach the wider Wetteren area. Because it is a village address, it helps to have the exact street name and house number ready when you book, so the driver can take you to the door.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House at Brussels Zaventem Airport, holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can go straight there without searching the terminal.
