Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Welden

The Drive from BRU to Welden

Welden lies 84 km (53 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the typical driving time is 1 h 2 m. The route leads west across Flanders, so the journey is a steady road trip rather than a short hop. It is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request like any other.

Brussels traffic is the main variable. If your flight lands during the morning or late-afternoon rush hours, allow some extra time, especially if you have a fixed appointment or a train connection at the other end. Roadworks and bad weather can also stretch the trip beyond the typical time.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

The vehicle depends on how many people and how much luggage you bring:

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers): suits solo travellers, couples, families and small business groups.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: a good fit for larger families or friends travelling with extra bags.
• Private Minibus 16, 24 and 32 Seats: for wedding parties, sports teams and company groups.
• Private Minibus 40 and 48 Seats: for large groups who want to arrive together in one vehicle.

If your party is close to the limit of a vehicle, choose the next size up so everyone has room for their luggage.

About Welden

Welden is a small village in the Oudenaarde area of East Flanders. It is a quiet, rural setting, so you are unlikely to find the services of a big city on the doorstep. It makes sense to have your exact address or pickup point ready before you travel, so the driver can take you directly to the door.
