Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Weesp

The drive from Brussels Airport to Weesp

Weesp lies 195 km (122 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the journey normally takes about 2 h 15 m. This route is booked less often than the big city transfers, but it is available on request like any other. The drive crosses the Belgian-Dutch border and ends on the eastern side of Amsterdam. Allow extra time during weekday rush hours, on Friday afternoons and around the Amsterdam ring road, where traffic can slow the last stretch noticeably. Bad weather and roadworks can also add time.

Which vehicle suits your group

The choice depends mainly on group size and luggage:

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers): suits solo travellers, couples, families and small business groups with normal luggage.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: a good fit for larger families or friends travelling with extra bags.
• Private Minibus 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 Seats: intended for tour groups, teams, wedding parties and company events. The whole group travels together in one vehicle.

If you are close to the upper limit of a vehicle, or have bulky items such as sports equipment or prams, choose the next size up for more comfort.

Weesp and where to stay

Weesp is a small historic town on the Vecht river, just east of Amsterdam, and has been part of the municipality of Amsterdam since 2022. Its compact centre has canals, old fortifications and a quiet, village-like feel. It is also known for its history as a cocoa-producing town. Because Weesp itself has few large hotels, many visitors stay in nearby Amsterdam, which is a short drive away. Well-established options there include:

• Hotel Okura Amsterdam, a large five-star hotel in the south of the city.
• Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky, a long-standing hotel on Dam Square.
• Hotel Pulitzer Amsterdam, set in a group of historic canal houses.

Your driver can take you to any of these, or to a private address in Weesp.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits for you at Java Coffee House in Brussels Zaventem Airport, holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can meet your driver without any searching.
