Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Weerde

The drive from BRU to Weerde

Weerde lies 15 km (9 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive typically takes about 13 minutes. This is a short hop, so it suits late arrivals and early departures well. The route is booked less often than the main city transfers, but it is available on request like any other. Rush hours on the roads around Brussels can stretch the journey, so allow some extra time if you have to reach the airport for a morning departure or a connecting flight.

Which vehicle fits your group

For solo travellers, couples and small families, a private taxi is the simplest choice. There are two sizes: one for up to 3 passengers and one for up to 4. If you travel with several suitcases, the 4-passenger taxi leaves a little more room.

Larger parties can book a private minibus. The options are:

• 8 seats, for up to 8 passengers
• 16 seats, for up to 16 passengers
• 24 seats, for up to 24 passengers
• 32 seats, for up to 32 passengers
• 40 seats, for up to 40 passengers
• 48 seats, for up to 48 passengers

Choose the size by the number of people in your group, and keep luggage in mind when you are close to a vehicle's limit. A group that arrives together can then leave the airport in one vehicle.

About Weerde

Weerde is a quiet village in the province of Flemish Brabant, in the municipality of Zemst. It lies between Brussels and Mechelen, so it is easy to reach from the airport without crossing the city centre. Expect a calm residential setting rather than a busy tourist destination. Have the exact street address ready when you book, so the driver can take you to the door.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage and entered the arrivals area.
