Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Weelde

The drive from Zaventem to Weelde

Weelde lies 96 km (60 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive normally takes about 1 h 10 m. The route heads north-east into the province of Antwerp. It is a less frequently booked transfer, but it is available on request like any other. Morning and evening rush hours on the motorways around Brussels and Antwerp can add time, so allow a buffer if you have a fixed appointment or a connection at the other end.

Choosing the right vehicle

For solo travellers, couples and small families, a private taxi is the simplest choice. There are versions for 1-3 and 1-4 passengers, so check the luggage you carry as well as the headcount. Larger parties can book a private minibus with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. That covers everything from a family reunion to a school trip or a company outing. Everyone travels together in one vehicle, with no shared stops along the way.

About Weelde

Weelde is a village in the municipality of Ravels, in the Kempen (Campine) region close to the Dutch border. The area is flat and wooded, with pine forests, heathland and quiet country roads. It is popular with walkers and cyclists. Turnhout is the nearest larger town. Because Weelde is small, it helps to give your driver the full street address of your destination when you book.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage.
