Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Wasmes-Audemez-Briffoeil

The drive from Brussels Airport

The route covers 116 km (73 miles) and normally takes about 1 h 14 m. You leave the Zaventem area, pass around Brussels and continue south-west into Hainaut, toward the Tournai region on the French border. This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request like any other. Morning and evening rush hours around the Brussels ring can add time, so allow a little extra if you have a train, a ferry or an appointment to reach.

Choosing the right vehicle

For solo travellers, couples and small families, a private taxi for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers is the simplest option. Groups with more luggage or more people can move up to a private minibus with 8 or 16 seats. For wedding parties, school trips or company outings, minibuses with 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats keep everyone in a single vehicle. Pick the size by the number of passengers and bags, not only by headcount.

Wasmes-Audemez-Briffoeil and where to stay

Wasmes-Audemez-Briffoeil is a small rural village in the province of Hainut, part of the municipality of Tournai. It is quiet, surrounded by farmland, and suits visitors who want calm countryside close to the French border. Accommodation in the village itself is limited, so many visitors stay in nearby Tournai, the nearest larger town. Two established options there are the Mercure Tournai and the Hôtel Cathédrale, close to the historic centre and the cathedral. Your driver can take you directly to the address of your choice.

Meeting point at Brussels Airport

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can meet your driver without a long walk through the terminal.
