Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Wasmes

The drive from Brussels Airport to Wasmes

Wasmes lies 87 km (54 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the typical driving time is 1 h 2 m. The route runs from the Brussels region towards the province of Hainaut in the south-west of the country. Because this is a less frequently booked route, it is arranged on request, just like every other transfer we offer. The stated time is a typical figure, so allow extra time if you travel during the morning or evening rush hours around Brussels, or in poor weather. If you have a connecting appointment or a fixed check-in time in Wasmes, build in a comfortable margin.

Choosing the right vehicle

Smaller parties can choose between a private taxi for 1-3 passengers and one for 1-4 passengers. The second option is useful for a family of four or for travellers with several suitcases. Larger groups are covered by private minibuses:

• 8 seats for groups of up to 8 passengers
• 16 seats for groups of up to 16 passengers
• 24 seats for groups of up to 24 passengers
• 32 seats for groups of up to 32 passengers
• 40 seats for groups of up to 40 passengers
• 48 seats for groups of up to 48 passengers

For wedding parties, sports teams, school trips or company groups, one larger minibus is simpler than several cars. Everyone arrives together and the group stays in one place.

About Wasmes

Wasmes is a village in the municipality of Colfontaine, in the province of Hainaut, close to the city of Mons. It belongs to the Borinage, a region historically shaped by coal mining. The area is mainly residential and quiet, and it makes a practical base for visiting Mons and the surrounding Hainaut countryside. If you are heading to a private address, give your exact street name when you book so the driver can plan the final part of the journey.
