Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Wakkerzeel

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Wakkerzeel

Wakkerzeel lies 32 km (20 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the trip usually takes around 31 minutes by road. This is a route that is booked less often than the big city transfers, but it is available on request just like any other, so you can arrange it in advance without any special conditions. Traffic around the Brussels ring road is the main variable. If you land during the morning or evening rush hour, it is sensible to allow some extra time, especially when you have an appointment or a connection waiting at the other end.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

The vehicle you need depends on how many people are travelling and how much luggage you carry. Every transfer is private, so you travel only with your own group. The available options are:

• Private Taxi for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers, suited to individual travellers, couples and small families.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats for groups of up to 8 passengers, a good choice when you have a lot of suitcases.
• Private Minibus 16 and 24 Seats for larger family gatherings, wedding parties or business delegations.
• Private Minibus 32, 40 and 48 Seats for big groups, events and organised tours that want to arrive together.

If your group is close to the limit of a vehicle, choose the next size up so that everyone has room for their luggage.

About Wakkerzeel

Wakkerzeel is a small village in the province of Flemish Brabant, belonging to the municipality of Haacht. It has a quiet, rural character, with countryside surroundings typical of this part of Flanders. Because it is a small place, it is worth giving your driver the exact street address when you book, so the drop-off goes smoothly.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits for you at Java Coffee House inside Brussels Zaventem Airport, holding a personalised name sign. The location is easy to find once you have collected your luggage. Simply head there and look for the sign with your name on it.
