Waarschoot lies 82 km (51 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the journey by road normally takes about 1 hour. The route leads west across Flanders towards the Ghent area, then continues into the quieter countryside of East Flanders. Waarschoot is not one of our most frequently booked destinations, but it is available on request like any other route. Allow some extra time if you travel during the morning or evening rush hour, when the Brussels ring and the approach to Ghent can slow down. Heavy rain or roadworks can also add a few minutes, so avoid planning a very tight connection after arrival.

About Waarschoot

Waarschoot is a small village in East Flanders, in the municipality of Lievegem, between Ghent and Eeklo. The surroundings are rural and flat, with fields, small roads and typical Flemish village streets. It is a calm base for visiting family, attending a local event or staying outside the busier city centres. Ghent is also within reach by car for a day trip.
