The Drive to Vottem

The transfer covers 92 km (58 miles) and usually takes about 57 minutes. The route leads east from Zaventem towards the Liège area. Traffic around Brussels and on the approach to Liège can slow things down on weekday mornings and late afternoons, so allow some extra time if you have a fixed appointment or a connection to catch. Vottem is not one of our most frequently booked destinations, but the transfer is available on request just like any other route.

Which Vehicle Fits Your Group

Smaller parties can choose a private taxi for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers. This works well for solo travellers, couples and families with standard luggage. Larger groups can book a private minibus with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. That covers everything from a business team or an extended family to a full coach-sized party. Pick the size according to the number of passengers and the amount of luggage you bring, and everyone travels together in one vehicle.

Vottem and Where to Stay

Vottem is a district of Herstal, just north of Liège city centre in the province of Liège. It is mainly residential, so most visitors stay in nearby Liège, where the choice of hotels is much wider. I cannot name accommodations in Vottem itself with confidence, so these suggestions are in Liège:

• Radisson Blu Liège, a well-known hotel close to the centre
