Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Verviers

The Drive to Verviers

The route from Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Verviers covers 120 km (75 miles) and typically takes 1 h 16 m. It heads east across Belgium towards the German border region, so most of the journey is on motorway. Verviers is an occasionally booked destination, which is a good reason to arrange your ride in advance. Allow extra time if you travel during the morning or evening rush around Brussels and Leuven, or in poor winter weather.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

For couples, solo travellers and small families, a Private Taxi is the simplest option, available for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers. If you have a lot of luggage, the 4-passenger option gives you a little more room. Larger parties can choose a Private Minibus with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats, which suits family gatherings, sports teams, business delegations and tour groups travelling together in one vehicle.

About Verviers

Verviers is a city in the province of Liège, in French-speaking Wallonia. It grew into an important centre of the wool and textile industry, and its industrial heritage is still visible in the townscape along the Vesdre river. The city is also a practical base for exploring the nearby Hautes Fagnes and the Ardennes foothills.

Where to Stay Near Verviers

I cannot confidently name long-established hotels in Verviers itself, so here are well-known options in the nearby spa town of Spa, which is a short drive from Verviers:

• Radisson Blu Palace Hotel in Spa
• Hôtel Balmoral in Spa
• Manoir de Lébioles in Spa

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House inside Brussels Zaventem Airport, holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage.
