Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Velzeke-Ruddershove

The drive from Brussels Airport to Velzeke-Ruddershove

The route covers 57 km (36 miles) and normally takes around 49 minutes. It leads from Zaventem westwards across Flanders towards the Zottegem area. Traffic around the Brussels ring is the main variable, so allow extra time if your transfer falls in the weekday morning or late-afternoon rush hour, or if bad weather is slowing the roads. Velzeke-Ruddershove is a less frequently booked destination, but the transfer is available on request just like any other route, with a driver who knows the way.

Choosing the right vehicle

The vehicle should match your group and your luggage, not just the number of seats.

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers): suits solo travellers, couples, families and small groups with ordinary luggage.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: a good choice for larger families or friends travelling with extra bags.
• Private Minibus 16, 24, 32, 40 and 48 Seats: intended for wedding parties, clubs, company groups and other bigger gatherings, with the size picked to fit your headcount.

If you are close to the limit of a vehicle, choose the next size up so everyone has room for their luggage.

About Velzeke-Ruddershove

Velzeke-Ruddershove is a small, quiet village in the municipality of Zottegem, in the East Flanders countryside. It is best known for its Roman-era past, and the archaeological museum in Velzeke tells the story of the settlement. Most visitors come to see relatives, attend family events or explore the surrounding Flemish Ardennes region, which is why a door-to-door transfer is often more convenient than piecing together a journey by public transport.
