Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Velle

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Velle

The journey from Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Velle covers 580 km (361 miles) and typically takes 5 h 55 m by road. That is a long transfer, so it helps to plan it as a proper trip rather than a quick hop. Heavy traffic around Brussels, roadworks, bad weather or busy holiday weekends can all stretch the time, so allow some extra margin if you have a connection, an appointment or a check-in deadline at the other end.

This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request like any other. Because of the distance, it is worth booking in advance and giving the full address in Velle so the driver can prepare the route properly.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

On a drive of almost six hours, comfort and luggage space matter more than on a short city transfer. Smaller groups can choose a private taxi, available for either 1-3 or 1-4 passengers. If you are travelling with several large suitcases, the next size up is often the more relaxed option.

• Private Minibus 8 Seats: families or small groups with extra luggage.
• Private Minibus 16 Seats and 24 Seats: larger parties, teams or event guests.
• Private Minibus 32, 40 and 48 Seats: big groups travelling together in one vehicle.

Meeting Point at Brussels Zaventem

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage. Simply head there and look for your name.

About Velle

Velle is not one of the big-name destinations that most travellers associate with Brussels Airport, so it is a good idea to double-check the exact address or meeting location before you set off. Having the street name, house number and a contact phone number ready makes the final stretch of the drive smoother, especially if the last part of the route leads through smaller local roads.

After a long journey, a private transfer means you can step out of the airport and ride directly to your destination without changing vehicles or following a timetable.
