Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Uitkerke

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Uitkerke

Uitkerke lies 119 km (74 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive typically takes about 1 h 24 m. The route heads west across Flanders towards the North Sea coast, so it is a straightforward journey by road. Allow extra time if you travel on a Friday afternoon, at the start or end of school holidays, or on sunny summer weekends, when traffic towards the coast is heavier. This route is booked less often than the big city transfers, but it is available on request like any other.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can go straight there after arrivals.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

Smaller parties are well served by a private taxi, available for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers. If you travel with more luggage or a larger family, a private minibus is the more comfortable choice. The following options are available:

• Minibus with 8 seats: for groups of up to 8 passengers
• Minibus with 16 seats: for up to 16 passengers
• Minibus with 24 or 32 seats: for larger parties and group holidays
• Minibus with 40 or 48 seats: for big groups, clubs and events

Everyone in your group travels together in one private vehicle, with no stops for other passengers.

About Uitkerke

Uitkerke is a small village in West Flanders and belongs to the municipality of Blankenberge. It sits in flat polder countryside a short distance from the Belgian coast, and Bruges is also within easy reach. The village suits visitors looking for a quiet base near the sea rather than a busy resort. Give your driver the full address of your accommodation when booking, since smaller village roads can be hard to find without an exact destination.
