Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Tollembeek

The drive from Brussels Airport to Tollembeek

The route covers 48 km (30 miles) and typically takes about 49 minutes. From Zaventem you leave the airport area, cross the Brussels region and continue southwest into the Flemish countryside. Traffic around the Brussels ring road is the main variable, so allow extra time during weekday morning and late afternoon rush hours, or whenever you have a fixed appointment at the other end, such as a family event or a business meeting.

This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request just like any other. Your driver takes you directly to your address, with no changes along the way, which is a real advantage on a trip to a small rural place.

Choosing the right vehicle

For smaller parties, a private taxi seats 1-3 or 1-4 passengers, which suits couples, families and business travellers with standard luggage. Larger groups can book a private minibus with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. That works well for family gatherings, wedding guests or company groups heading to the same address. If you travel with bulky luggage or sports equipment, it is sensible to choose the next size up for extra space.

About Tollembeek

Tollembeek is a small village in the municipality of Galmaarden, in the province of Flemish Brabant. It lies in the Pajottenland, a rural area of gently rolling fields southwest of Brussels. Expect a quiet countryside setting rather than a busy town centre, so it helps to have the exact street address ready when you book.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House at Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU), holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage.
