Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Thommen

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Thommen

The route covers 619 km (385 miles) and typically takes 6 h 31 m by road. That is a long journey, so it helps to plan for it. Allow extra time if you travel during morning or evening rush hours around Brussels, on Friday afternoons, or at the start and end of school holidays, when motorways are busier. On a trip of this length, a break along the way is sensible, and your driver can stop if you need one.

Thommen is a less frequently booked destination, but the transfer is available on request like any other route. Because the trip is long, it is worth giving the driver your exact drop-off address in advance.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

The vehicle should match both your group size and your luggage, especially over several hours on the road.

• Private Taxi (1-3 passengers) and Private Taxi (1-4 passengers): suited to solo travellers, couples, families and small groups with standard luggage.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats and 16 Seats: good for larger families, friends travelling together or small business teams with extra bags.
• Private Minibus 24, 32, 40 and 48 Seats: designed for tour groups, clubs, school parties and corporate events, with up to 48 passengers travelling together.

If you are unsure whether your luggage fits, choose the next size up. A bit more space makes a 6.5-hour ride more comfortable.

About Thommen

Thommen is a small place in Belgium, and visitors usually come for the surrounding countryside rather than for big-city attractions. Because it is a small location, double-check the full street address or the name of your accommodation before departure, so the driver can drop you off at the right door.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage.
