Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Ternat

The drive from Brussels Airport to Ternat

Ternat lies 27 km (17 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport. Under normal conditions the drive takes about 23 minutes. This route is booked only occasionally, so your driver will be assigned specifically for your arrival. The journey crosses the Brussels region, so weekday morning and late afternoon rush hours can slow things down. If you have a fixed appointment or a connection to catch, add a buffer on those days. Roadworks and bad weather can also stretch the trip beyond the usual time.

Choosing the right vehicle

For couples, solo travellers and small families, a private taxi is the simplest choice. It is available for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers, so check how much luggage you have before picking the smaller option. Larger parties can book a private minibus. The 8-seat version suits extended families or colleagues travelling together. For wedding guests, school trips, sports teams and corporate groups, there are minibuses with 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. That lets everyone arrive together in one vehicle.

Ternat as a destination

Ternat is a municipality in Flemish Brabant, west of Brussels. It is a quiet, largely residential area with a Flemish character, and the countryside of the Pajottenland region lies close by. Visitors usually come to see family, attend local events or do business in the area. They also use it as a calmer base within reach of the capital. A door-to-door transfer saves you from working out connections with luggage after a flight.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits for you at Java Coffee House, holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can walk straight there without searching the terminal.
