Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Strassen

The drive from Brussels Airport to Strassen

The transfer covers 209 km (130 miles) and typically takes 2 h 8 m. Most of the journey is on the motorway heading south-east through Wallonia before crossing into Luxembourg. This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request like any other. Allow some extra time if you travel during the morning or evening rush around Brussels, or if you arrive in the Luxembourg City area at peak hours, since Strassen lies right next to the capital's busy western approaches.

Choosing the right vehicle

For solo travellers, couples and small families, a private taxi is the simplest option: one version seats up to 3 passengers, the other up to 4. Larger groups can choose a private minibus with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats, which suits business delegations, conference parties, school trips or several families travelling together. With a journey of just over two hours, it is worth picking a vehicle with enough room for everyone's luggage so the trip stays comfortable.

Strassen and where to stay nearby

Strassen is a commune immediately west of Luxembourg City, known for its business parks, shopping areas and quick road links to the capital and the motorway network. It is mainly a working and residential area, so travellers who want a well-known hotel often stay in Luxembourg City itself, a short ride away. Long-established choices there include Le Royal Hotel Luxembourg, the Sofitel Luxembourg Le Grand Ducal and the Hotel Parc Belle-Vue. Your driver can take you to any of them, or directly to an address in Strassen.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House inside Brussels Zaventem Airport, holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can walk over and meet your driver without any searching.
