Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Ster

The drive from Brussels Zaventem to Ster

The journey covers 420 km (261 miles) and typically takes 4 h 18 m by road. That is a long transfer, so it helps to plan it as a proper trip rather than a quick hop. Ster is a less frequently booked destination, but the transfer is available on request like any other route. Heavy traffic around Brussels at rush hour, roadworks and bad weather can all lengthen the trip, so build in some extra time if you have a fixed appointment or an onward booking at the other end.

On a drive of more than four hours, a private transfer means you travel directly from the terminal to your destination without changing vehicles or carrying luggage between connections. You can rest, work or simply look out of the window.

Choosing the right vehicle

The vehicle should match your group size and the amount of luggage you carry:

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers): suits solo travellers, couples, small families and groups of friends with a normal amount of luggage.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats and 16 Seats: a comfortable choice for larger families or groups with extra bags, and for those who simply want more space on a long ride.
• Private Minibus 24, 32, 40 and 48 Seats: intended for organised groups, teams, clubs and events, so everyone arrives together in one vehicle.

If you are close to the upper limit of a vehicle, it is usually worth choosing the next size up for the sake of comfort on such a long journey.

About Ster

Ster is a small village in Belgium, and not a place with a big tourist infrastructure of its own. For that reason, it is worth having the exact address of your final stop ready before you travel, so the driver can take you to the correct door rather than just the village centre.

Meeting point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House in Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU), holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can go straight there and meet your driver without any searching.
