Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Statte

The Journey from BRU to Statte

The route from Brussels Zaventem Airport to Statte covers 1875 km (1166 miles), with a typical driving time of 18 h 26 m. This is a long-distance transfer and a less frequently booked one, but it is available on request like any other route. A trip of this length is best planned in advance. Allow extra time on top of the pure driving time for rest stops, heavy traffic and weather, especially if you have a connecting appointment at the other end.

Because the journey takes the better part of a day, think about comfort before you set off. Keep water, snacks, a phone charger and any medication in your hand luggage rather than in the boot, so you can reach them without stopping.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

The vehicle you pick matters more on a long ride than on a short hop. Pick the one that gives everyone enough space.

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers): suits solo travellers, couples, small families and groups with a normal amount of luggage. Choose the 1-3 option if you want more room for bags.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats and 16 Seats: suit larger families, friends travelling together and small teams with extra luggage.
• Private Minibus 24, 32, 40 and 48 Seats: intended for tour groups, clubs, school parties and company events travelling together to the same address.

When in doubt, go one size up. Extra legroom makes an 18-hour drive far more pleasant.
