Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Spalbeek

The drive from Brussels Airport to Spalbeek

Spalbeek lies 67 km (42 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport. The journey normally takes about 47 minutes by road. Because the route heads east out of the Brussels region, traffic around the capital can lengthen the trip during the weekday morning and late-afternoon rush hours. If you have a fixed appointment or a connecting journey, allow some extra time. Spalbeek is a less frequently booked destination, but the transfer is available on request like any other route.

Choosing the right vehicle

For smaller parties, a private taxi is the simplest option: one version seats 1-3 passengers, another 1-4 passengers. Choose the larger one if you are travelling with a fourth person or carrying extra luggage.

Larger groups are covered by the private minibus range:

• 8 seats for families or small business parties
• 16 seats for mid-sized groups
• 24 and 32 seats for team trips, events and wedding parties
• 40 and 48 seats for large delegations or full coach-sized groups

Everyone travels together in one vehicle, so no one has to organise separate connections after landing.

About Spalbeek

Spalbeek is a village in the province of Limburg and forms part of the municipality of Hasselt. It has a quiet, residential character, and a private transfer is a practical way to reach it, since it is not a place most visitors can easily reach by direct connections from the airport. Please have the exact address of your destination ready when you book so the driver can take you directly to the door.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can go straight there after baggage reclaim.
