Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Soignies

The drive from Brussels Airport to Soignies

The route covers 67 km (42 miles) and typically takes around 51 minutes. You leave the Zaventem area, join the Brussels ring road and continue southwest towards Hainaut. Weekday rush hours around the ring can lengthen the trip, so allow extra time if you have a fixed appointment or a connection to make. This route is booked only occasionally, so your driver will be assigned specifically to your journey.

Choosing the right vehicle

Couples, solo travellers and small families fit a private taxi: one version takes up to 3 passengers, another up to 4. Larger parties can use a private minibus with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. Pick the size by counting both people and luggage. If you are close to a limit, go one size up so everyone has room for their bags.

Soignies as a destination

Soignies is a town in the province of Hainaut, roughly between Brussels and Mons. It is known for its bluestone (petit granit) quarrying tradition and for the Collegiate Church of Saint Vincent in the town centre. It suits visitors who want a quieter base away from the capital.

Arriving at your address in Soignies

Give the exact street address when you book, and keep a phone number handy for the day of travel. Some residential streets are narrow, so the driver may stop at the nearest accessible point. For a business visit or event, note the entrance you need.
