Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Smallingerland

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House inside Brussels Zaventem Airport, holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can meet your driver without any searching.

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Smallingerland

The route covers 314 km (196 miles) and typically takes 3 h 22 m. It leads north out of Belgium and across the Netherlands into the province of Friesland. This is a long transfer, so it suits travellers who want to avoid a journey with several train and bus changes and prefer to sit back in one vehicle from the arrivals hall to the front door.

Traffic around Brussels and the large Dutch cities can add time during the morning and evening rush hours. If you have a fixed appointment, a check-in deadline or a connecting event in Smallingerland, build in a buffer on top of the standard driving time. Your driver will also stop if you need a short break along the way.

Which Vehicle Fits Your Group

The vehicle you book depends mainly on how many people and how much luggage you travel with:

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers): suitable for solo travellers, couples, small families and business trips.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: a good choice for larger families or friends travelling with extra suitcases.
• Private Minibus 16 and 24 Seats: suited to teams, clubs and mid-sized groups arriving together.
• Private Minibus 32, 40 and 48 Seats: intended for large parties, such as event delegations or organised tour groups of up to 48 people.

This route is booked less often than others, but it is available on request in every vehicle category listed above. Booking ahead gives us time to arrange the right vehicle for your group size.
