Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Sluizen

The drive from Brussels Airport to Sluizen

The route covers 104 km (65 miles) and normally takes about 1 h 5 m. Sluizen is not a frequently requested destination, but the transfer is available on request like any other. You travel door to door in a private vehicle, without changing trains or waiting for connections. Allow extra time during the morning and evening rush hours around Brussels, as traffic near the capital can slow the first part of the trip. Bad weather can also add some minutes. If you have a fixed appointment in Sluizen, plan a little margin.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you have collected your luggage.

Choosing the right vehicle

Smaller groups are well served by a private taxi. There is a version for 1-3 passengers and one for 1-4 passengers, which is useful if you travel with a few suitcases. For larger parties, private minibuses are available with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. This makes the route workable for families, business teams, sports clubs and organised tour groups. Choose the size by the number of passengers, and consider the amount of luggage too. A slightly larger vehicle gives everyone more room on the one-hour-plus journey.

About Sluizen

Sluizen is a small village in the Tongeren area of Belgian Limburg. It is a quiet, rural setting rather than a busy tourist centre, so a direct private transfer is a practical way to get there from the airport. Have the full street address ready when you book, since small villages can have similar road names in neighbouring places. Your driver can then take you straight to the right door.
