Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Sint-Jan

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Sint-Jan

The route covers 141 km (88 miles) and typically takes 1 h 42 m by road. That makes it a proper cross-country journey rather than a short hop, so it helps to settle in and treat it as a comfortable ride after your flight. This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request just like any other. Allow extra time if you travel during the morning or late-afternoon rush, when the roads around Brussels are at their busiest, or in bad weather. If you have a fixed appointment at the other end, plan a buffer on top of the usual driving time.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

The vehicle should match your group and your luggage:

• Private Taxi (1-3 passengers) or Private Taxi (1-4 passengers): suited to solo travellers, couples, and small families.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: a good choice for larger families or friends travelling with extra bags.
• Private Minibus 16 Seats and 24 Seats: for tour groups, teams, and wedding or event parties.
• Private Minibus 32, 40 and 48 Seats: for large delegations, school trips, and coach-sized groups, with up to 48 passengers.

On a drive of this length, a little extra space is worth having, so consider going one size up if your group is close to a vehicle's limit or you carry bulky luggage.

About Sint-Jan as a Destination

Sint-Jan is a small place in Belgium, and the name is shared by several localities. For that reason, always give your driver the full street address or the name of your accommodation when you book. This avoids any mix-up and lets the driver plan the exact route. Because it is a quiet destination, arrivals are usually calm and straightforward, with easy drop-off at your door.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House at Brussels Zaventem Airport, holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you collect your luggage, so you can head straight there once you leave baggage reclaim.
