Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Sedan

The drive from Brussels Airport to Sedan

Sedan lies 187 km (117 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the journey usually takes about 2 h 7 m. The route leaves Belgium and crosses into northern France, so it is a straight run with no need to change vehicles. Allow extra time if you land during the morning or evening rush, when traffic around Brussels slows down. Keep your passports or ID cards within easy reach for the border crossing.

Choosing the right vehicle

Sedan is a less frequently booked route, but it can be arranged on request like any other. A Private Taxi suits one to four passengers with normal luggage. Larger parties can choose a minibus with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats, so a family, a business delegation or a coach-sized tour group can all travel together. Pick the size by the number of people and bags, not only by seat count, so everyone has room for their luggage.

About Sedan

Sedan is a town in the Ardennes department of northern France, close to the Belgian border and set on the River Meuse. It is best known for its Château Fort, often described as the largest fortified castle in Europe, which dominates the old town. The town also has a place in French military history, linked to the battles of 1870 and 1940. Visitors usually come for the castle, the surrounding Ardennes countryside or business in the region.
