Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Schönberg

Meeting Point at Brussels Zaventem Airport

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can meet your driver without searching the terminal.

The Drive from BRU to Schönberg

The route covers 706 km (439 miles), and the typical driving time is 7 h 21 m. This is a long transfer, so it suits travellers who want to avoid changing between several connections with luggage. Schönberg is not a commonly booked destination, but the transfer is available on request like any other route. Allow extra time if you travel during rush hour around Brussels, on busy holiday weekends or in wintry weather, as any of these can lengthen a journey of this size. On a trip of more than seven hours, it is reasonable to agree on a short rest stop with your driver.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

Smaller groups can choose between two private taxi options:

• Private Taxi (1-3 passengers) for solo travellers, couples or small families
• Private Taxi (1-4 passengers) for a party of four with some luggage

Larger parties travel together in a private minibus:

• 8 Seats for up to 8 passengers
• 16 Seats for up to 16 passengers
• 24 Seats for up to 24 passengers
• 32 Seats for up to 32 passengers
• 40 Seats for up to 40 passengers
• 48 Seats for up to 48 passengers

On a drive this long, comfort matters. If you carry bulky luggage or sports equipment, it is worth choosing the next size up.

About Schönberg

Schönberg is a small village in the German-speaking east of Belgium, part of the municipality of Sankt Vith. The surrounding countryside is green and hilly, which makes it a quiet base for walking and cycling. Because several places in German-speaking Europe share the name Schönberg, give your driver the exact street address and mention that your destination is in Belgium. That way the route is set correctly before you leave the airport.
