Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Schifflange

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage, so you can head there straight from the baggage hall.

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Schifflange

The route covers 226 km (141 miles) and typically takes 2 h 18 m. It runs south-east from Zaventem across Belgium and into the south of Luxembourg. That makes it a long trip by transfer standards, and a private car means you travel door to door without carrying bags between trains.

The stated time assumes normal traffic. Allow extra time if you travel through the Brussels ring during the morning or evening rush, on Friday afternoons, or in bad winter weather. If you have a tight appointment or a connecting journey in Schifflange, build in a buffer. Because the ride is long, it is also worth planning a short comfort stop with your driver if you travel with children or elderly passengers.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

The vehicle should match your group size and the amount of luggage you carry:

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers): suits solo travellers, couples, small families and business travellers with normal luggage.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: a good fit for larger families or colleagues travelling together with extra bags.
• Private Minibus 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 Seats: intended for tour groups, teams, delegations and event parties. Everyone arrives together in one vehicle.

If you are unsure between two sizes, choose the larger one when you have bulky luggage such as sports gear or musical instruments.

About Schifflange

Schifflange is a town in the south of Luxembourg, close to Esch-sur-Alzette and the French border. The area is part of the country's historic industrial region, and the town today is mainly residential and practical in character. When you book, give the exact street address or the name of the building you are heading to. A precise drop-off point saves time at the end of a long drive.
