Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Schieren

Meeting Point at Brussels Airport

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you have collected your luggage, so you can meet up without searching the terminal.

The Drive to Schieren

The journey covers 191 km (119 miles) and typically takes 2 h 15 m. The route leads south-east out of Belgium and across the border into Luxembourg. It is a long transfer, so a private car saves you the planning that public transport would need. Allow extra time if you land during the morning or evening rush around Brussels, or in heavy rain or winter weather, as these can add to the usual driving time. Your driver monitors conditions along the way and takes the most sensible route on the day.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

This route is booked less often than some others, but it is available on request just like any other. Pick the vehicle that matches your group:

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers): suits individual travellers, couples, families and small business groups with normal luggage.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats (1-8 passengers): a good fit for larger families or colleagues travelling together with extra bags.
• Private Minibus 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 Seats: for tour groups, conference delegations, school trips and teams, with room for 16 up to 48 passengers.

On a ride of more than two hours, a little extra space is worth considering, especially if you carry bulky luggage.

About Schieren

Schieren is a small community in central Luxembourg, in the Alzette valley close to Ettelbruck and Mersch. It has a quiet, residential feel rather than a busy tourist centre. That makes it a calm base for visiting family, working in the region or exploring the Luxembourg countryside. Give your driver the exact address when you book, so the drop-off is smooth at the end of the trip.
