Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Roosbeek

The drive from BRU to Roosbeek

Roosbeek lies 35 km (22 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the journey by road typically takes about 28 minutes. The route heads out of the airport area into Flemish Brabant. This is a less frequently booked transfer, but it is available on request like any other route. Allow extra time if you travel during the morning or evening rush, when the roads around Brussels and Leuven tend to be busier, or when the weather is poor.

Choosing the right vehicle

For solo travellers, couples and small families, a private taxi is the simplest option: one version takes up to 3 passengers and another up to 4. Larger parties can choose a private minibus with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. This suits wedding guests, business delegations, sports teams and family gatherings. Pick a vehicle by the size of your group and the amount of luggage, and go one size up if you are carrying bulky items such as sports equipment or several large suitcases.

Roosbeek as a destination

Roosbeek is a small village in Flemish Brabant, belonging to the municipality of Boutersem and located east of Leuven. It is a quiet, rural area rather than a tourist hub, so most visitors come to see family, to attend local events or to do business in the surrounding region. Leuven, with its historic centre and university, is the nearest larger town.
