Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Rochehaut

The drive from Brussels Airport to Rochehaut

Rochehaut lies 151 km (94 miles) from Zaventem, and the drive normally takes about 1 h 45 m. You leave the Brussels ring behind and head south-east into Wallonia, and the last part of the route runs through the wooded hills of the Ardennes. Roads become narrower and more winding near the end. Allow extra time for rush hour around Brussels, and for fog, rain or snow in the Ardennes during winter.

Choosing the right vehicle

Couples and small families can take a private taxi, with options for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers. Groups of five or more travel in a private minibus with 8 or 16 seats. For larger parties such as wedding guests, club outings or school trips, minibuses are available with 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. This route is booked less often than others, but it is available on request like any other, so it is best to arrange it in advance.

Rochehaut and where to stay

Rochehaut is a small village in the municipality of Bouillon, in the Belgian Ardennes. It sits high above the Semois valley and is known for its views over the river's winding loops. Most visitors come for walking, nature and quiet weekends away.

In Rochehaut itself, Hôtel Le Panorama is a well-known address with views over the valley. Nearby Bouillon, a few kilometres away, has more choice, including Hôtel de la Poste and Hôtel Le Cordemois. Check your host's exact address before travelling, as some places are on small lanes.
