Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Rieme

The drive from Brussels Airport to Rieme

The route covers 91 km (57 miles) and typically takes 1 h 0 m. Rieme is on the northwestern side of Belgium, so you leave the Brussels area and head towards the Ghent region. Allow extra time if you travel during the morning or late-afternoon rush hours. The ring roads around Brussels and Ghent are the usual bottlenecks. Rieme is not one of our most frequently booked destinations, but the transfer is available on request like any other route.

Which vehicle suits your group

Smaller parties can choose a private taxi, either for 1-3 or for 1-4 passengers. The 1-4 option leaves more room for a family or for extra suitcases. Larger groups, such as a business team, a wedding party or a club trip, can book a private minibus. Minibuses are available with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats, so you can pick the size closest to your headcount and avoid splitting up.

• 1-4 passengers: private taxi
• 5-8 passengers: private minibus with 8 seats
• 9-48 passengers: private minibus with 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats

Rieme and where to stay nearby

Rieme is a small village in East Flanders, in the municipality of Evergem, north of Ghent. It is a quiet, mostly rural and residential area close to the Ghent port zone. There are few large hotels in the village itself, so many visitors stay in Ghent, the nearest major city, and travel on from there. Well-known options in Ghent include:

• NH Gent Belfort, in the historic centre
• Ghent Marriott Hotel, close to the Korenlei and the old town
• Hotel Harmony, a small hotel on the Dolfijn canal
