Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Retie

The drive from Zaventem to Retie

Retie lies 92 km (57 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the typical driving time is 1 hour. The journey runs from the Brussels area towards the Kempen region in the north-east of Belgium. Because Retie is a smaller destination, this route is booked less often than the big city transfers, but it is available on request like any other. Weekday rush hours around Brussels and Antwerp can slow traffic, so it is sensible to allow some extra time if you have a fixed appointment or a connection to make.

Choosing the right vehicle

The vehicle should match your group and your luggage. Two sizes of private taxi are available, for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers, which suits individual travellers, couples and families. Larger parties can choose a private minibus with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. Minibuses also work well for business groups, wedding guests, sports teams or school trips, since everyone travels together and arrives at the same time. If you carry a lot of luggage, such as sports equipment or several large suitcases, consider going one size up.

Retie as a destination

Retie is a municipality in the province of Antwerp, in the Kempen region. The area is known for its quiet, rural character, with woodland, heath and open countryside nearby. Most visitors come to see family, to visit local businesses or to stay in a calmer part of Flanders. A private transfer is a practical option here because the drive takes you straight to your address without any changes along the way.

Meeting point

After collecting your luggage, head to Java Coffee House, which is easy to find inside the airport. Your driver waits there with a personalised name sign.
