Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Putscheid

The drive from Brussels Airport to Putscheid

Putscheid lies 192 km (120 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the typical driving time is 2 h 18 m. The journey leads south-east through Belgium and across the border into northern Luxembourg. This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request just like any other. Morning and late-afternoon traffic around Brussels can slow the first part of the trip, so allow some extra time if you have a fixed appointment or a connection at the other end.

Choosing the right vehicle

Couples, solo travellers and small families usually fit into a private taxi, offered for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers. If you travel with a lot of luggage, the four-passenger option gives you more flexibility. Larger parties can choose a private minibus with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats, which suits family gatherings, wedding guests, hiking groups and company trips. Since the ride takes well over two hours, a vehicle with enough space for everyone and their bags makes the trip more comfortable.

Putscheid and where to stay nearby

Putscheid is a small rural municipality in the Our valley in northern Luxembourg, close to the Ardennes-like landscape of the Ösling region. It is a quiet place, popular with people who want walking, cycling and countryside rather than city life. Accommodation in the village itself is limited, so many visitors stay in the nearby town of Vianden, which has long-established hotels such as Hotel Oranienburg, Hotel Heintz and Hotel Victor Hugo. Vianden is well known for its hilltop castle and is a short drive from Putscheid. Check your booking address before travelling so the driver can take you directly to the right door.
