Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Pietrain

The drive from Brussels Airport to Pietrain

Pietrain lies 49 km (31 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive usually takes about 34 minutes. The route leaves the airport area and heads south-east into Walloon Brabant, so the last stretch is on quieter local roads rather than motorway. Pietrain is not one of our most frequently booked destinations, but the transfer is available on request just like any other route. Allow extra time if you travel during the morning or evening rush hour around Brussels, or in poor winter weather, as the busiest part of the trip is near the airport and the capital's ring road.

Choosing the right vehicle

For couples, solo travellers and small families, a private taxi is the simplest option. It is available for 1-3 passengers or for 1-4 passengers, so choose the larger one if you are travelling with four people or carrying a lot of luggage. Larger groups, such as wedding parties, sports clubs or company teams, can book a private minibus. Minibuses come with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats, so you can pick the size closest to your group and everyone travels together in a single vehicle.

About Pietrain

Pietrain is a small rural village in the municipality of Jodoigne, in the Walloon Brabant province of Belgium. It is best known for giving its name to the Piétrain pig breed. The surroundings are quiet farmland and countryside, so it is worth sharing the exact street address with your booking, as small village roads can be hard to find for visitors.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you have collected your luggage, so you can go straight there once you are through the arrivals hall.
