Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Outgaarden

The drive from Brussels Airport to Outgaarden

Outgaarden lies 43 km (27 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the typical driving time is 29 minutes. The route leaves the airport area and continues eastwards through Flemish Brabant, so you reach your destination without changing vehicles or dragging luggage through stations. This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request like any other, so a private transfer is simple to arrange ahead of your arrival.

The stated time is a typical figure. Allow extra time if you travel during the morning or evening rush hours, when the roads around Brussels and Leuven are busier, or in poor weather. If you have a tight appointment in Outgaarden, build in a small buffer rather than planning to the minute.

Choosing the right vehicle

The vehicle you pick depends mainly on how many people and how much luggage you have:

• Private Taxi (1-3 passengers) suits solo travellers, couples and small families with standard luggage.
• Private Taxi (1-4 passengers) gives a fourth seat for a slightly larger party.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats (1-8 passengers) works well for larger families or friends travelling with extra bags.
• Private Minibus 16, 24, 32, 40 and 48 Seats cover groups of up to 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 passengers, such as wedding parties, company teams, tour groups or club outings.

If your group sits right at the limit of a vehicle, or you carry bulky items, choose the next size up for more comfort.

About Outgaarden

Outgaarden is a small village in Flemish Brabant and part of the municipality of Hoegaarden. The surrounding area is rural, with farmland and quiet roads, and the nearby town of Hoegaarden is widely known for its white beer. Visitors usually come to see family or friends, attend local events, or explore the countryside away from Brussels. Because services in a village this size are limited, a pre-booked private transfer is a practical way to get from the airport straight to your door.
