Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Ostiches

The Drive from Brussels Airport to Ostiches

The route covers 78 km (49 miles) and normally takes about 55 minutes. After leaving the Zaventem area, the road leads out of the Brussels region and into the western part of Hainaut, where traffic usually thins out. Allow extra time on weekday mornings and late afternoons, when the roads around Brussels are at their busiest, and in poor weather. If you have a fixed appointment after arrival, add a comfortable buffer on top of the standard driving time.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

Smaller parties can travel in a private taxi, available for 1-3 or 1-4 passengers. If you carry several large suitcases, the 4-seat option leaves less room than you might expect, so count luggage as well as people. Groups of up to 8 fit in a private minibus with 8 seats. For larger parties such as families gathering for an event, company teams or wedding guests, minibuses with 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats are available, so everyone can arrive together in a single vehicle.

About Ostiches

Ostiches is a small village in the municipality of Ath, in the Walloon province of Hainaut. The surroundings are rural and quiet, with fields and country roads rather than busy urban streets. It is not a place with a large tourist infrastructure, so most visitors come to see family, attend a private event or stay in the wider Ath area. Keep the full street address ready for your driver, as village roads here can be narrow and house numbers are not always easy to spot.

Meeting Point

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The location is easy to find after you have collected your luggage.
