Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Orcq

The drive from Brussels Airport to Orcq

Orcq is 112 km (70 miles) from Brussels Zaventem Airport, and the drive typically takes 1 h 18 m. The route heads west across Belgium, so most of the journey is on motorway. Orcq is not a frequently requested destination, but we arrange it on request like any other. Allow extra time if you travel at the morning or evening rush around Brussels, or in poor weather, since the first stretch out of the capital region is the part most likely to slow down.

Choosing the right vehicle

For solo travellers, couples and small families, a private taxi is the simplest choice: one option seats up to 3 passengers and another up to 4. If you travel with several suitcases, the 4-seat taxi is not meant for a full load of luggage, so consider the next size up for a group at the upper limit.

Larger parties are covered by private minibuses with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. They suit family gatherings, wedding guests, business delegations and sports or school groups arriving on the same flight. Pick the size that matches your headcount, not just the minimum, so everyone and their luggage travel comfortably.

Meeting point at Brussels Airport

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage.

About Orcq

Orcq is a village in the Walloon province of Hainaut and part of the city of Tournai. It lies close to the French border, in a quiet, mostly residential setting by the Scheldt. Because it is small, you will find a calm atmosphere rather than a busy tourist centre. Tournai itself, with its well-known cathedral, is only a short distance away and is an easy addition if you have time to explore.

When you book, give the driver the exact street address in Orcq. Small villages can have similar street names across neighbouring districts, and a precise address keeps the final part of the trip quick and straightforward.
