Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Ophoven

The drive from Brussels Airport to Ophoven

The route covers 146 km (91 miles) and usually takes about 1 h 42 m. Ophoven is not one of the most frequently booked destinations, but the transfer is available on request just like any other, with a private vehicle taking you from the terminal to your address without changes or waiting.

Because most of the journey is on motorways heading east, the timing depends mainly on traffic around Brussels and Leuven. Weekday rush hours, morning and late afternoon, can add noticeable time, so allow a margin if you have a fixed appointment or a connection at the other end. Weekends and evenings are generally calmer.

Choosing the right vehicle

The vehicle should match your group size and luggage:

• Private Taxi (1-3 or 1-4 passengers): suits solo travellers, couples, and small families. Choose the 4-passenger option if you want a little more room.
• Private Minibus 8 Seats: a good fit for larger families or small groups with extra bags.
• Private Minibus 16 and 24 Seats: practical for clubs, teams, and medium-sized groups travelling together.
• Private Minibus 32, 40 and 48 Seats: intended for large parties such as tour groups, company outings, or event guests.

If you are unsure, pick the next size up when you have bulky luggage such as sports equipment or several large suitcases.

About Ophoven

Ophoven is a small village in Belgian Limburg, in the Kinrooi area close to the Meuse and the Dutch border. It is a quiet, rural setting rather than a big-city destination, so it helps to have the exact street address or a house name ready for your driver. That way the final stretch from the motorway to your door goes smoothly.

Meeting Point at Brussels Zaventem Airport

Your driver waits at Java Coffee House with a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find once you have collected your luggage.
