Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Oombergen

The drive from Brussels Airport to Oombergen

The transfer from Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to Oombergen covers 52 km (33 miles) and usually takes about 41 minutes. Oombergen lies to the southwest of Brussels in East Flanders, so the route leads you away from the airport area and out into quieter countryside. Traffic around the Brussels ring road is heaviest on weekday mornings and late afternoons, so allow some extra time if you have an appointment, a family event or a train to catch at the other end.

This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request just like any other.

Choosing the right vehicle

For smaller parties, a private taxi is available in two versions: one for 1-3 passengers and one for 1-4 passengers. If you travel with several large suitcases, the larger of the two gives you more breathing room.

Wedding parties, family reunions and group trips are better served by a private minibus. Options start with 8 seats and continue with 16, 24, 32, 40 and 48 seats, so a group of almost any size can travel together in a single vehicle instead of splitting up. Pick the size by the number of people and the amount of luggage, and the whole group arrives at the same time.

• 1-3 or 1-4 passengers: private taxi
• 5-8 passengers: private minibus with 8 seats
• 9 or more passengers: minibus with 16 to 48 seats
