Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to On

The Journey from Brussels Airport to On

The transfer from Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU) to On covers 529 km (329 miles), and the typical driving time is 5 h 43 m. This is a less frequently booked route, but it is available on request just like any other, so a private driver can be arranged for your arrival.

Build in some extra time if you travel during the morning or evening rush hour around Brussels, or in poor weather. Heavy rain, fog or winter conditions can slow traffic noticeably on a journey of this length. If you have a connection, a dinner booking or a check-in deadline at the other end, plan a comfortable margin rather than aiming for the minimum driving time.

Choosing the Right Vehicle

Smaller parties are best served by a private taxi, with options for 1-3 passengers or 1-4 passengers. Couples, solo travellers and small families will find this the simplest choice, particularly if luggage is modest.

For larger groups, private minibuses are available with 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 or 48 seats. Match the size to your group and add a little room for suitcases, especially after a long-haul flight. A group of ten, for example, is better off in a 16-seat minibus than squeezing into the smaller size.

• Taxi: up to 3 or up to 4 passengers
• Minibus 8 and 16 seats: family gatherings and small teams
• Minibus 24 to 48 seats: tour parties, clubs and larger events

About On

On is a small village in Wallonia, in the Famenne region of southern Belgium. It is a quiet rural place rather than a major tourist centre, so it suits travellers who want countryside surroundings and a calm base. Since there is little else to say with certainty about a village of this size, it is worth confirming your exact address with your host or accommodation before you travel, so the driver can go straight to the right door.

Meeting Point

Your driver will wait for you at Java Coffee House, holding a personalised name sign. The spot is easy to find after you have collected your luggage, so you can head there without any detour.
